LARAMIE, Wyoming (6/8/26) – University of Wyoming wrestling head coach Mark Branch made several additions to his roster this spring. He added eight student-athletes, a combination of some transfers and some incoming freshmen.

Alex Berisha, Manny Rojas and Jace Roller are all transfers from fellow Big 12 members. Justin Beauvais, Kaizen Detoles, Gunner Lopez, Sammy Sanchez and Carson Shaw are all coming to Laramie from the high school ranks.

Below is a list of all eight incomers…

Justin Beauvais (Glendale, Arizona)

Beauvais is a 141-pound high schooler. He's a two-time Arizona state champion for Mountain View. Beauvis is a top 100 recruit according to MatScouts, top 10 in his weight class.

"JJ was one of the top unsigned prospects in the country," Branch said. "We love his range and his instincts."

Alex Berisha (Mount Kisco, New York/West Virginia)

Berisha is a 197-pound transfer from West Virginia who has multiple years of eligibility remaining. He was a reserve in his time with the Mountaineers, compiling a 7-15 record.

Berisha seized an individual New York state championship as a senior at Fox Lane High School. That came on the heels of placing runner-up the year prior.

"Alex will be a nice addition to our upper weights and will provide quality depth for us," Branch said. "He has collegiate experience, so I know we can lean on him when needed."

Kaizen Detoles (Saratoga Springs, Utah)

Detoles is a 174-pound high schooler. He captured a pair of Utah state championships for West Lake. He also has a fourth and a fifth place to his name.

"Kaizen has a great build and is very athletic," Branch said. "I believe he will develop quickly in our room."

Jace Roller (Bixby, Oklahoma/Missouri)

Roller is a 141-pound transfer from Missouri who has multiple years of eligibility remaining. He was primarily a reserve in his time as a Tiger. Roller also battled injuries in his time in Columbia. He possesses a career record of 16-10 with 12 of those wins being of the bonus-point variety.

Roller was a three-time state champion for Bixby High School. He also has a third place to his name.

"I've known Jace since he was born and coached his dad," Branch said. "He is a super dangerous pinner and wrestles a very unique style."

Manny Rojas (Bay City, Michigan/Iowa State)

Rojas is a 165-pound transfer from Iowa State who has one year of eligibility remaining. He was primarily a reserve in his time as a Cyclone, competing at 165 and 174. Rojas compiled a 45-15 record in that role, securing at least 13 victories in three of his four seasons in Ames, Iowa.

Rojas was a two-time state champion at Detroit Catholic Central. He also has a second place to his name.

"Manny was one of the top recruits in the country," Branch said. "I think with a fresh opportunity and the right environment, he can get on the podium to finish his career."

Gunner Lopez (Centennial, Colorado)

Lopez is a 165-pound high schooler. He placed all four years at the Colorado state championships for Grandview. Lopez took second, third and sixth twice.

"Gunner is a great kid who is very aggressive and wrestles a high pace," Branch said. "He will only get better in our room."

Sammy Sanchez (Cheyenne, Wyoming)

Sanchez is a 125-pound high schooler. He was a Wyoming state champion this past season for Cheyenne East. He also has a pair of seconds and a fourth place to his name.

"Wyoming fans should be very familiar with the Sanchez name as Sammy's grandfather Ray was an All-American for UW in the 60s," Branch said. "Sammy brings a ton of pride for the Brown and Gold and will be a very positive part of our culture and our team success."

Carson Shaw (Bozeman, Montana)

Shaw is a 184-pound high schooler. He was a Montana state champion this past year for Gallatin. Shaw also has a fifth place to his name.

"Carson has a great frame and will be anywhere from 184-285 during his career here," Branch said. "He still hasn't fully matured physically and with the workout partners he will have here, he should develop quickly."

These eight will enter the program this summer along with a collection of seven freshmen who signed back in November. Those include Derek Barrows (141), Blake Bartos (141), Austin Collins (149), Austin Paris (149/157), Kyler Walters (165/174) and Dom Wilson (149/157).
