Wicks on Curtis
"Rounding out our roster I felt we needed to find a young man who had a big chip on his shoulder and was ready to prove himself. We found him in Micah Curtis. Sidelined all season at North Dakota because of an injury we felt that he would be an overlooked player with a massive upside. Micah was an absolute monster at St. Louis Park High School in Minnesota his senior season. I absolutely fell in love with Micah and his family during our recruiting process. He has an unbelievable story, and I cannot wait for poke fans to watch him compete. He has a relentless motor, a mountain west ready body, and plays a physical brand of basketball. What I love most however is his rebounding ability and his ability to play off two feet with two hands. We got a steal in Micah Curtis! Cowboy Country, Let's give a raucous Wyoming welcome to Micah Curtis and his family."
Curtis, a 6-8, 230-pound forward is a native St. Louis, Park, Minn. Curtis spent last season at North Dakota playing in three games with one start, as he missed the rest of the season with an injury. He scored 22 points against Mayville State going 10-of-12 from the field with six rebounds and five blocks. He played with his twin brother, Marley at North Dakota.
As a senior at St. Louis Park High School, Curtis led his team in points per game and rebounds with 29.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. He was a First Team All-Metro West selection.
