Spring Football Clinic on April 11

Jay Sawvel and the Cowboy Football team will host a Youth Clinic on April 11. The event is free and open to all kids ages 6-12. Visit the link above to register for the event this Saturday.
What Head Coach Jay Sawvel Said
"I have been pleased with the effort and intent thus far. But we have to keep locked in for two hours each practice. Offensively a lot of new things are going on and learning those things, then the wheels get grinded down thinking too much and on defensive our guys are seeing so many good looks, but We will keep moving forward.
The Cowboys have a talented group in the quarterback room this spring. Transfer
Tyler Hughes joins the program after a great career at The College of William & Mary. He earned Third Team All-CAA honors. He was the first quarterback in school history to pass for over 2,000 yards and rush for over 600. In 2025, Hughes threw for 2,330 yards completing 66 percent of his passes with 20 touchdowns and only three interceptions. He also rushed for 670 yards with 11 touchdowns.
Wyoming also returns two quarterbacks who saw time last season in
Mason Drube and
Landon Sims. Drube maintained his redshirt appearing in three games as a true freshman including a start against Hawaii in the season finale. He finished the season 20-of-38 passing for 187 yards. He was 17-of-32 passing against Hawaii for 179 yards. Sims appeared in five games for the Pokes. He was 6-of-8 passing for 38 yards and a score and rushed for 97 yards on the season including a score against Colorado State.
