STANFORD, Calif. (April 3, 2026) – Senior
Ryker Holtzen broke his own 3,000-meter steeplechase school record as six Wyoming distance runners competed at the Stanford Invitational, Friday.
COWBOYS
Holtzen competed in the invitational heat of the 3,000-meter steeplechase when he broke his own school record time. In the heat, he finished second with a time of 8:34.06, less than two seconds off first place. 8:34.06 is the sixth-best time in the nation this season.
Sophomore
Solomon Holden-Betts won his section of the 3,000-meter steeplechase, and finished 14th overall, with a time of 8:43.66. This entered Holden-Betts into the Wyoming record book with the No. 4 time in program history. His personal best time is the 21st-best time in the country this season.
In the 5,000 meters, senior
Jacob White placed 21st in section one, crossing the line at 13:53.72.
COWGIRLS
Junior
Hailey Uhre finished with a time of 16:43.70 in section four of the 5,000 meters. Her 12th-place finish in the heat was her fastest outdoor 5k since April of 2024.
In the 10,000 meters, junior
Eowyn Dalbec would cross the line 24th in the invitational section with a time of 34:44.68. While she holds the No. 2 program time at 33:50.10, Dalbec's time at the Stanford Invitational would have been the sixth all-time.
Senior
Marina Trave ran a time of 35:41.91 for 29th in section two of the 10,000 meters.
