LAS VEGAS, Nevada (4/27/26) – Lane Foard and success at the U.S. Open go hand in hand. The University of Wyoming wrestler made a splash again this year, adding to his Freestyle resume, becoming a two-time All-American with a fifth-place finish on Sunday.
Foard (79 kg) took fifth in 2025 and did so again in 2026 with a 6-2 record. He advanced to the semifinals before falling, 2-1, to eventual champion, Ryan Burton of Virginia Tech. Foard rebounded following a consolation semifinal loss, defeating Indiana's Chris Crawford via technical fall, 10-0 (2:25), in the fifth-place bout.
