FORT COLLINS, Colo. (April 25, 2026) – Wyoming track and field wrapped their first of two straight weekends at CSU with seven event wins at The Border Dual, Saturday, in Fort Collins, Colo.
The Cowboys finished behind the Rams, 81-32, while the Cowgirls fell, 81-40, in the duals.
COWGIRLS
The Cowgirls opened up field competition in the hammer throw, where senior
Kaitlyn Gallo threw to fifth. She reached a distance of 49.59 meters on her fourth attempt.
In the shot put, redshirt-freshman
Teagan Becker finished in fifth for one team point. She had her best put on attempt five at 14.03 meters.
Sophomore
Koi Adderley and freshman
Desirae Iacovetto were the only competitors in the high jump, taking all eight points. Adderley cleared a height of 1.65 meters for first while Iacovetto took second by reaching 1.50 meters.
In the women's long jump, Iacovetto and sophomore
Melody ZumBrunnen competed for the Pokes. ZumBrunnen took fourth with her best jump of 5.14 meters while Iacovetto finished in sixth with a leap of 4.99 meters.
Senior
Elayna Chafee won Wyoming's second field event of the day in the triple jump. She added five team points with her first jump, landing at 11.81 meters, tying her best from a week ago.
To start action on the track, the 4x100-meter relay team of freshman
Payton Becker, sophomore
Madeline Thorne, sophomore
Megan Witkiewicz and sophomore
Eva Dellorco took second. They passed the baton around the track in 46.90 for three team points.
In the 100-meter hurdles, sophomore
Carly Norman added one team point when she crossed the line third at 14.55. She was followed by Becker in fourth with a time of 14.63.
Four Cowgirls finished in the 100-meter dash, with Thorne leading the way in third. She crossed the line at 12.45 for one team point. Adderley finished next at 12.65 in fourth while senior
Faith Jehu took fifth with a time of 12.73. Finally, ZumBrunnen came in seventh, crossing the line at 12.88.
Sophomore
Muriel Jones led seven Cowgirls in the 800 meters. With a second-place time of 2:14.25, she ran a personal best after converting for altitude to 2:13.47. Redshirt-freshman
Claire Engelhardt added another team point in her first 800-meter run in third with a time of 2:15.42. Sophomore
Lily Nichols ran to fourth with a time of 2:17.20, a personal best of 2:16.40 after conversions. Sophomore
Kayla Coppola ran a time of 2:19.59 for fifth while redshirt-freshman
Ella Unrein took sixth at 2:21.06. Redshirt-freshman
Megan Doherty and sophomore
Lauren Clarke rounded out the event with times of 2:24.96 for seventh and 2:27.41, a PR, for ninth, respectively.
Dellorco ran again in the 200-meter dash and won with a time of 24.81 to add five team points. She was followed by junior
Gabbreiella Mendoza-Molina in fourth at 25.52 and Becker in fifth with a time of 25.80.
Wyoming had the only finishers in the women's 1,500 meters, crossing the line first to fifth. Sophomore
Julia Rudolph picked up her first individual victory at Wyoming with a time of 4:36.09. Senior
Libby Berryhill crossed the line second at 4:36.68 for three team points. The last point getter was sophomore
Hanan Aldelemy in third with a time of 4:37.79. Redshirt-freshmen
Gracie Uhre crossed the line fourth at 4:48.57 while
Elliana Zock finished in fifth with a time of 4:49.50, both personal bests.
The Cowgirls relay team of Mendoza-Molina, Thorne, Dellorco and Witkiewicz closed out the day with their second-place finish in the 4x400-meter. The crew crossed the line at 3:45.20, a season best.
COWBOYS
Sophomore
Quinn Lindsay finished fourth in the discus throw with his best attempt landing at 50.22 meters, his second meet over 50 meters on his career.
In the shot put, senior
Cam Burkett placed second for three team points. His best put landed at 18.10 meters on attempt three, his last fair throw.
Sophomore
Christian Edwards jumped to third for three team points in the long jump. His best leap, coming on attempt three, landed at 6.77 meters.
In the triple jump, Edwards also finished second with a distance of 13.71 meters, just shy of his season best on his first attempt.
Freshman
Jackson Aydelott picked up the first running event victory with his winning run in the 400 meters. He finished with a time of 47.35, an outdoor personal best and No. 8 in program history. Junior
Cody Hape finished in third with his time of 47.89, his best run since May 2025. The two added six team points for the Cowboys. Senior
Darius Wiggins also ran and crossed the line fourth at 48.26, his best run in almost a year.
Freshman
Ryan Elsen won just his second career collegiate event in the 100 meters. He crossed the line at 10.62, adding five team points. Senior
Carter McComb finished next for three team points in second at 10.83. Sophomores Edwards and
Bridger Norton rounded out the field in fourth and fifth at 10.95 and 10.96, respectively.
Sophomore
Solomon Holden-Betts won his first 800 meters at Wyoming. He crossed the line at 1:50.92, nearly breaking the Top 10 list. Senior
Mac Zastrow added to the five points for Holden-Betts with a third-place finish of 1:51.86. Junior
Aidan Ramsey and sophomore
Meyer Smith closed the event in fifth and sixth with times of 1:53.79 and 1:59.12, respectively. Smith's time would be a personal best with altitude conversions to 1:58.43.
Aydelott returned in the 200 meters, where he finished second with a time of 21.41, a personal best. All other finishers for Wyoming went 6-7-8. Norton ran a time of 21.81, Hape finished at 22.16 and Wiggins crossed the line at 22.19.
