LARAMIE, Wyoming (4/21/26) – The University of Wyoming wrestling team will have representation at the 2026 U.S. Open Wrestling Championships in Las Vegas, Nevada, this week. Six current Cowboys and two incoming freshmen are slated to participate in a tournament that runs from Thursday through Sunday inside The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas.
The half a dozen current Cowboys are
Isaiah Harrison (57 kg),
Antonio Avila (70 kg),
Westen Hoffschneider (74 kg),
Owen Hull (79 kg),
Lane Foard (79 kg) and
Bradlee Farrer (79 kg). All six will compete in the U20 Freestyle event.
The incoming freshmen competing include Dom Wilson (70 kg) and Gunner Lopez (74 kg). Those two are set to compete in U20 Freestyle and U20 Greco-Roman.
Winners of both the Freestyle and Greco-Roman brackets will advance to the U20 World Team Trials. Those will take place this summer.
