Leland Walker was named Honorable Mention All-Mountain West on Tuesday afternoon. The senior leads the cowboys in scoring this season and also leads the squad in assists, as he ranks in the top-ten in the MW in both categories.
Walker, a native of Indianapolis, Ind. adds 13.8 points per game for the Pokes this season with 3.9 assists per game. He ranks tenth in the MW in scoring this season and ranks eighth in the league in assists. He appeared in 31 games this season with 30 starts.
He scored a career-high 30 points earlier this season against Boise State. He added a season-high seven helpers against San Jose State last Saturday. He has scored in double-figures 23 times this season and has scored 20 or more points five times.
Walker is one of seven players in the NCAA with over 1,500 career points and over 450 assists. He is 13 helpers away from 500 in his career.
