LARAMIE, Wyo. (March 31, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls travel back on the road this week for a pair of contests. The Cowgirls will face Air Force at 10 a.m., Thursday before traveling to face New Mexico at 11 Saturday morning.
Wyoming (10-6, 3-3 MW) is coming off a 2-0 weekend at home last week, recording a pair of 4-0 victories. The Cowgirls took care of business against Fresno State and San Jose State last weekend. Both matches took just over two hours to finish.
Silver Bijlsma had a stellar week, going 4-0 across doubles and singles, playing at the No. 1 and 2 spots, respectively. Bijlsma went 2-0 in doubles with her partner, Violetta Borodina and earned a pair of straight-set victories in singles play. Bijlsma is now up to a 13-3 record in duals and has 22 wins over the 2025-26 season. In doubles, Bijlsma and Borodina are 10-2 in 2026 and have 16 wins across both the fall and spring sections of the season.
Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia went 1-0 last week and is 9-4 in 2026 in singles action. Borodina, meanwhile, is now 8-3 in singles play and has yet to drop a Mountain West matchup this season. Bijlsma, Borodina, Kochelaevskaia and Serina Abriola all have double-digit wins across the 2025-26 season.
Air Force enters Thursday at 4-2 in Mountain West play this season and is also 4-2 in home duals in 2026. UNM, meanwhile, is 2-4 in league play this season, but has an impressive 6-2 mark in home matches.
