LARAMIE, Wyo. (March 15, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls' four-match winning streak was snapped Sunday afternoon after a marathon matchup with Boise State. The Broncos prevailed in the five and a half-hour match, 4-3.
The Broncos pulled off the Doubles Point to begin the day, winning a tiebreaker at No. 1, 8-6. The Cowgirl team of Eugenia Ceinos and Dilnaz Mashabayeva provided UW's lone doubles victory at the second spot. The duo took care of business, 6-2.
In singles, it was more of the same as the two teams battled and battled on Sunday. Four of the six singles contests went to third sets. The Cowgirls won at No. 2, 3 and 5 in the contest and won two in three sets.
At No. 2, Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia rallied after losing the first set to win the second and third sets, 7-6 (7-3) and 6-3, respectively. Violetta Borodina was victorious at the third position and gave Wyoming its first point of the day. Borodina won 6-3 and 7-6 (9-7). Ceinos rounded-out the singles wins on the day as she won at No. 5, 6-1, 4-6 and 6-1.
Next up will be Wyoming's first two Mountain West contests as they hit the road to the Silver State next weekend. The Cowgirls will face Nevada Friday and UNLV Sunday.
