LARAMIE, Wyo. (March 11, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls open Mountain West play this weekend after a near-three-week hiatus. The Cowgirls open league action hosting Utah State at 4 p.m., Friday and Boise State Sunday at 11 a.m.
Wyoming (7-3) is coming off a pair of wins last time out, in February, where it defeated South Dakota, 5-2 and blanked Northern Iowa, 4-0. Entering conference play, Silver Bijlsma and Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia lead the Cowgirls with nine and seven dual wins, respectively in singles. In doubles, the team of Bijlsma and Violetta Borodina pace UW with a 7-1 mark while Serina Abriola and Kochelaevskaia are 6-3 as a duo.
The Cowgirls are 64-30 (.681) in conference play under Head Coach Dean Clower. Last season, Wyoming split road contests against the Aggies and Broncos. The Cowgirls won in Logan, 4-0 before losing at Boise State, 4-0. Wyoming is 1-1 at home in 2026 and is riding a three-match winning streak into the weekend.
Utah State enters Friday with a 6-4 mark overall and is 2-3 in true road matches. USU has one similar opponent thus far to the Cowgirls, a 4-3 loss at home to Idaho. Wyoming defeated the Vandals in a hard-fought 5-2 contest in early February. Boise State, meanwhile, is riding a seven-match winning streak into the weekend and is 8-2 overall and 3-1 in road matchups.
