SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Feb. 21, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls made quick work of Northern Iowa Saturday in a neutral contest, closing the week at 2-0 in the state of South Daktota. UW defeated the Panthers, 4-0.
Once again, the Cowgirls (7-3) swept all three doubles matches. At No. 1, Silver Bijlsma and Violetta Borodina won 6-3. At No. 2, it was the team of Eugenia Ceinos and Madlena Orlova taking the win, 6-4. Finally at the third spot, the tandem of Serina Abriola and Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia took care of business, 6-2.
In singles, Wyoming got three straight-set victories. Bijlsma won 6-0 and 6-1 at No. 2. At the third spot, Borodina won 6-3, 6-1. While at No. 6, it was another smashing victory from Abriola as she didn't surrender a set, winning 6-0, 6-0. The Cowgirls were also leading in the other three singles matches before those went unfished after the Brown & Gold clinched the dual win.
The Cowgirls are now off for a few weeks as they will next open conference play at home, beginning March 13 against Utah State.
