LARAMIE, Wyo. (Feb. 18, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowgirls will play their final two non-conference duals this week as they make a trip to South Dakota. The Cowgirls will face South Dakota at 11 a.m., Friday before finishing against Northern Iowa at 4:30 p.m., Saturday. Both matches will be played in Sioux Falls.

Last time out, the Cowgirls (5-3) split their home-opening weekend with a loss to Minnesota before bouncing back for a 5-2 victory over Idaho. Silver Bijlsma went 2-0 in singles play over the weekend, with both victories coming at No. 2 singles. Against the Vandals, Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia (No. 1), Eugenia Ceinos (No. 4) and Dilnaz Mashabayeva (No. 5) also earned singles wins. In doubles during its last action, UW got wins from the tandems of Serina Abriola and Kochelaevskaia against Minnesota, while against Idaho the teams of Bijlsma and Mashabayeva and Ceinos and Madlena Orlova got wins.

Overall, in duals, Bijlsma paces the Cowgirls with a 7-1 mark while Kochelaevskaia is 6-2. In doubles, the tandem of Bijlsma and Violetta Borodina are 5-1 while Abriola and Kochelaevskaia are 4-3. As a team, the Cowgirls are 14-9 in doubles matches in 2026.

South Dakota enters the week 3-4 overall and will be playing in the state of South Dakota for the first time this season. USD has losses at Idaho (6-1) and to Mountain West foe New Mexico (6-1). Northern Iowa, meanwhile, is 1-6 and is 1-3 away from home this season.
