LARAMIE, Wyoming (2/17/26) – The Cowboy Shootout scheduled for Sunday inside the Arena-Auditorium is canceled. Not enough teams were set to participate.

The tournament is designed to give student-athletes that need matches for ranking purposes a chance to wrestle as many times as necessary. It also allowed backups to gain some reps at the end of the season.

The cancellation now means the next competition for the Cowboys is the Big 12 Tournament. That runs from March 6-7 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, inside the BOK Center.
