BOSTON & RENO, Nev. (Feb. 14, 2026) – Wyoming track and field closed the Valentine's Day weekend and regular season with seven Top 10 program marks, six podium finishes and 10 personal bests, Saturday.
BATTLE BORN CLASSIC
The first event to start on day two in Reno was the women's shot put, and freshman
Jade West etched her name into the Wyoming indoor record book. The Niwot, Colo., native would finish in third with a personal best and new No. 10 mark in indoor history throw of 14.67 meters. West set this mark on his second attempt and only her second ever over 14 meters.
Senior
Kais Kimuli finished seventh in the finals with her best put landing at 14.33 meters on her third attempt. Sophomore
Avery Navest took 23rd with a toss of 11.31 meters.
In the women's high jump, sophomore
Koi Adderley finished 14th overall and 13th in the A-Pit with a mark of 1.64 meters.
Track events began with the 400 meters with three Cowgirls running. Sophomore
Eva Dellorco would lead Wyoming in eighth with a time of 55.07, a personal best and No. 9 in program indoor history.
Sophomore
Megan Witkiewicz followed in 14th with a time of 56.52 while sophomore
Gabbreiella Mendoza-Molina took 18th at 56.81.
In the men's 400-meter dash, freshman
Jackson Aydelott crossed the line just off his school record time at 47.35 for second. Junior
Cody Hape finished with a time of 48.20 for fourth and sophomore
Bradley Ekstrom came in seventh at 48.44
Triple jump came next in the order sheet with two Cowgirls reaching a mark. Senior
Elayna Chafee finished in fifth with a jump of 12.02 meters. Adderley would finish in 10th with her best leap of 11.47 meters, a career personal best.
Senior
Cam Burkett threw a season best in the shot put with his first put reaching 19.06 meters. This mark, along with his only other fair throw of 19.04 meters, won his fourth title in a row and gained sole control of the No. 3 indoor shot put in Wyoming history.
Sophomore
Quinn Lindsay was the only other Cowboy to set a mark in the shot put, coming in fifth with a toss of 16.33 meters.
Junior
Gavin Cougle followed up his 60-meter finals time with a personal best time in the 200-meter dash. He would take third with a time of 21.34 for No. 2 in indoor history, surpassing the time set in 2002.
Aydelott also improved his career best with a time of 21.48 for fifth overall and No. 7 all-time.
Freshman
Chance Morris would take 11th with a time of 21.74, a personal best, while sophomore
Bridger Norton crossed the line at 21.81 for 13th.
Sophomore
Taliah Morris led the Cowgirls in the 200 meters with a time of 24.44 for 17th. Morris holds the indoor record of 23.64, set last season.
Other finishers were
Megan Witkiewicz in 25th at 24.73, sophomore
Madeline Thorne crossing at 24.97 for 32nd, Navest coming in 51st with a time of 25.52 and freshmen
Payton Becker and
Desirae Iacovetto finishing at 25.63 and 25.73 (PR), respectively.
Junior
AJ McGloflin closed out the field events at the Battle Born Classic with a second-place mark of 2.05 meters in the high jump. He matched the winning mark but took three attempts to clear the height. This is McGloflin's season best and a quarter-of-an-inch out of the No. 10 spot in the record book.
The Cowboy 4x400-meter relay team closed the meet with a win. The squad of Hape, junior
Sam Castle, Morris and Aydelott passed the baton around in 3:15.42. This is good for this unique group's time to be No. 10 in the indoor record book.
DAVID HEMERY VALENTINE INVITATIONAL
The Cowgirls took center stage in Boston to close the regular season. First event for Wyoming was the 800 meters and senior
Libby Berryhill led the way in 31st with a time of 2:10.79. She was followed by sophomore
Julia Rudolph in 69th, crossing the line at 2:14.87.
Sophomore
Brionna Holso was the first Cowgirl to finish in the mile run. She took 103rd out of 233 finishers with a time of 4:56.70, a personal best. Redshirt-freshman
Claire Engelhardt finished not far behind in 110th at 4:57.58 for another personal best time while sophomore
Muriel Jones ran a time of 4:58.12 for 116th.
In the 3,000 meters, senior
Rozlyn Slichko crossed the line at 9:50.42 for 129th in the field of 207. This was a personal record for Slichko by three seconds.
To close the Valentine Invitational, Wyoming ran in the indoor season's longest race, the 5,000 meters. The top time for the Cowgirls was junior
Eowyn Dalbec with her finish of 16:21.62 for 46th. She finished first in her heat with a personal best time and the No. 2 time in program history.
Senior
Marina Trave rounded out the weekend with a time of 16:55.91 for 96th out of 140 finishers, her season best.
