LARAMIE, Wyoming (10/9/26) – The University of Wyoming soccer team takes to the road this weekend. The Cowgirls travel to UNLV on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match at Peter Johann Soccer Field. The match will be streamed on
MW+.
The Pokes – who sit at 9-3-0 overall and 2-1-0 (6 points) in Mountain West Conference play – got back on track after having their six-game win streak snapped last week. They dominated San Jose State, 4-0, on Wednesday in Laramie in what was a record-breaking performance.
Alyssa Glover became the school's all-time leader in goals with her 26th career score.
Isabel Vasco logged her second brace of the season, becoming just the second true freshman in program history to accomplish that feat, and goalkeeper,
Haley Bartel, registered shutout No. 25, which puts her now six clear of second place in school history.
The Cowgirls will look to ride all that positive momentum into a location that has proven challenging for them to win over the years. The Rebels – who are 3-6-3 overall and 1-2-1 (4 points) in league action – own a 17-7-4 all-time record versus Wyoming, which includes an 8-3-2 advantage in Las Vegas.
Glover not only has the school record for career goals, but she also leads the Mountain West with seven in 2026. She's chipped in four assists too, which also put her atop the points standings in league with 18.
There's plenty of scoring depth behind Glover. Vasco owns five goals and three assists for 13 points, while
Maddie Burr has collected four goals and four assists for 12 points. Ten different Cowgirls have netted a goal this season.
Bartel makes it all stand up. She boasts seven clean sheets in 2026 to go alongside 30 saves with nine goals allowed for a GAA of 0.76, which ranks second in the conference.
UNLV has a two-headed offensive attack. Both Kaitlin Taylor and Kamri Yergensen have five goals apiece. Three different keepers have started a match with Riley Hodson getting the lion's share. She's started eight games and has logged 31 saves with 14 goals allowed for a GAA of 2.00.
Following the trip to Las Vegas, Wyoming returns home for a pair of matches the following week. It hosts New Mexico on Oct. 15 at 3:30 p.m. and UTEP on Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. Both games will be held at the Madrid Sports Complex.
