LAS VEGAS (Oct. 13, 2026) – Following a victorious dual meet against Air Force, sophomore
Bryan Lombardi and junior
Macey Hansen were named Mountain West Men's and Women's Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Bryan Lombardi
Lombardi, a transfer from Louisville, won his first Mountain West Award following a perfect weekend in the pool. He won each of the four events (50 Free, 100 Fly, 400 Free Relay, 200 Medley Relay) he swam in to add 40 team points in the Cowboys' 173-122 victory. Each race he swam in was a new pool record, including the 50 Free, which was a new personal best. Lombardi currently holds the No. 1 MW time in the 100 Fly and the No. 2 MW time in the 50 Free.
Macey Hansen
Hansen picked up her first Mountain West Swimmer of the Week award after winning both of her events in the win over Air Force. Previously, she has won freshman of the week honors. Staying undefeated in distance events this year, Hansen added her third and fourth wins in the 500 and 1,000 Free. With times of 5:06.06 and 10:24.61, she set two new pool records. With her victories, she added 18 team points to Wyoming's 163-137 win.

Jackson Kogler won Men's Swimmer of the Week, senior
Tara Joyce won Women's Swimmer of the Week and freshman
Joey Sudermann was named Men's Freshman of the Week.
