LOGAN, Utah (9/28/25) – The University of Wyoming soccer team struggled Sunday in its final match of a long road trip. Utah State shutout the Cowgirls, 3-0, at Chuck & Gloria Bell Soccer Field.
The loss drops the Pokes to 5-3-3 on the season and 0-1-1 (1 point) in Mountain West Conference play. The win moves the Aggies to 4-4-3 overall and 1-0-1 (4 points) in league action.
Utah State jumped on Wyoming early Sunday. Kaylie Chambers scored off a pass from Tess Werts in the first minute.
Mia Mullenmeister doubled up the Aggies' advantage during the 36th minute. She found the back of the net off a feed from Rine Yonaha.
Samantha Sellers capped the scoring in the 53rd minute. Chambers was credited with the assist.
The Aggies outshot the Cowgirls, 13-6, and, 7-1, in shots on frame.
Raegan Richardson had a team-high two shots for Wyoming.
Wyoming goalkeeper,
Haley Bartel, turned away four shots. Utah State played two goalies. Taylor Rath started and played the first 60 minutes, while Allee Grashoff closed the match out with one save.
The Pokes return home for a four-game homestand beginning Thursday. Wyoming hosts UNLV at 4 p.m. at the Madrid Sports Complex.
