COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 23, 2025) – Senior
Jacob White was named the Mountain West Men's Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday. White adds this weekly honor to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Men's DI National Athlete of the Week award he won yesterday.

This marks White's fourth Mountain West Athlete of the Week award, with his past honors coming Sept. 6, 2022, Sept. 3, 2024, and most recently on Oct. 8, 2024. White also holds 2024 Second-Team All-Mountain West and 2022 First-Team All-Mountain West honors in cross country.
White earned conference athlete of the week following his individual title in the Merrill Fischbein Men's Gold 8k at the 39
th Roy Griak Invitational, last Friday. With a time of 24:39.8, he took over the lead at the 5k split on the ultra-hilly course, eventually finishing nearly 17 seconds ahead of the rest of the competition. White's victory also avenged his last-second defeat in the first meet of the season when he lost the lead at the Wyoming Invite with just meters to go.
Wyoming will be back in action on Oct. 3, when it takes on the Joe Piane Invitational, hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
