LARAMIE, Wyo. (SEPT. 16, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowboys hit the road and head south to take on Front Range foe Colorado on Saturday evening at 8:15 p.m. MT on ESPN. It is the first meeting between the schools since the teams met at Folsom Field in 2009.

Harris Named Old Trapper MW Freshman of the Week: Wyoming true freshman running back Samuel “Tote” Harris was named the Old Trapper Mountain West Freshman of the Week on Monday.
Harris rushed for a career-high 68 yards to lead the Cowboys against No. 20 Utah. He also added a career-high 28-yard rush, as he averaged 8.5 yards per rush in the contest.
He also caught a career-high three passes for a career-high 37 yards. He recorded a 32-yard reception and finished the contest with 105 all-purpose yards. He is rushing for 43.3 yards per game so far this season and adds 7.2 yards per rush.
Eller in Double-Digits: Linebacker Evan Eller recorded 12 tackles to tie for the team lead against No. 20 Utah. He now tied for the team with 20 tackles. He recorded 17 tackles against Samford in 2022 when he played a VMI. He now has 257 career tackles. He ranks No. 17 in the MW in tackles at 6.7 per game.
Johnson Making an Impact: Safety Andrew Johnson recorded 12 tackles to tie for the team lead against No. 20 Utah. He recorded nine solo stops for a career-high. It was the most tackles by a safety for the Cowboys since Wyett Ekeler had 12 against Boise State in 2022. He ranks No. 17 in the MW in tackles at 6.7 per game and is tied for the team lead with 20.
On The Road Again: The Cowboys hit the road once again and are looking for their third-straight road win. It would be the first time Wyoming has won three-straight on the road since the end of the 2018 season and start of the 2019 campaign. The Pokes have won three of their last four road games dating back to last season.
Big Ben: Wyoming nose tackle Ben Florentine added another sack against No. 20 Utah and has three on the season for one in each game. He has a sack in four-straight games dating back to last season. He is the first interior defensive lineman to have a sack in four-straight games for the Pokes in the MW era of Cowboy football. He ranks third in the MW and No. 14 in the nation in sacks with his three on the season. The last Cowboy to have a sack in five-straight games was Patrick Chukwurah with his streak running from 1999 season to 2000.
Wilson on the Edge: Defensive end Brayden Wilson added four tackles for a career-best with the Cowboys against No. 20 Utah. The native of Utah also added a tackle for loss. He now has 142 career tackles and has 30 tackles for loss in his collegiate career. He ranks 75th amongst active players in career tackles for loss.
Hearns Does It All: Nickel Desman Hearns has done it all for the Cowboys so far this season. He tied a career-high with eight tackles against no. 20 Utah. He ranks fifth on the team in tackles with 13. He also has an interception and has forced a fumble this season. He has 98 career tackles.
The Safety Tandem: The safety tandem of Andrew Johnson and Jones Thomas combined for 20 tackles against No. 20 Utah. Johnson had a career-high 12 tackles with Thomas adding a career-best with eight. The duo has combined for 34 tackles so far this season and have combined for five pass breakups.
