The 2025 All-Mountain West Doubles Team of Violetta Borodina and Dilnaz Mashabayeva picked up right where they left off last season, earning a pair of wins. The duo opened the day by blanking the team from Weber State, 6-0 before winning 6-4 against the team from Colorado State. In singles, the Cowgirls won six of their seven victories in straight sets. Biljsma continued to impress in her collegiate debut, as she didn't surrender a game to Wencong Song of Weber State, winning 6-0 and 6-0. Abriola impressed with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Utah State's Kylee Sperry. Mashabayeva was victorious 6-3 and 6-2 in her first singles match of 2025.

Kochelaevskaia also earned a straight-sets victory, winning 6-4 and 6-4 over Anna Pinaieva of New Mexico State. Young also earned a straight-sets victory, picking up a 7-6 (7-5), 6-2 win. Borodina rounded-out the Wyoming wins Friday as she fought back against Terezie Stvearkova of Montana State for a 3-6, 7-6 (7-5) and 6-0 win.

"Pretty good first day of tennis for the Cowgirls," said Head Coach Dean Clower.

"I liked how prepared to play we were on every line today. We need to continue improving our doubles combinations and that will be the focus the rest of the week."

Day two of the three-day invite is Saturday.
