CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Aug. 29, 2025) – The University of Wyoming cross country program looks to host the season opener at the Wyoming Invite at the Little America Golf Course in Cheyenne, Wyo., on Saturday.

The women's 5k will start at 9 a.m. while the men's 5k begins at 9:30 a.m.

Wyoming will host three schools, Colorado, Colorado State and Northern Colorado in Cheyenne. Colorado will have the only U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) nationally ranked teams, with their men ranked No. 13 and women No. 24. The Cowboys, however, did receive two votes in the preseason poll.

The meet is open to the public and will be followed by four high school races.
