Laramie, Wyo.- The Cowboy Joe Club is excited to announce the return of its annual volunteer fund drive, which will take place this year between March 31-April 25 throughout the state of Wyoming and the region at-large. The CJC volunteer fund drive is an endeavor designed to increase CJC membership and raise funds for scholarships and resources to benefit the more than 400 student-athletes who call the University of Wyoming home.
How does it work?
Volunteers from counties throughout Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain region call on donors, perspective donors, and people within their circles of influence to: thank donors for their continued and generous support of Wyoming Athletics, share opportunities for increasing donation levels and further elevate the impact of their support, help solicit and welcome new members to join as CJC donors, and expand the reach of our donor community, strengthening the future of Wyoming Athletics for years to come.
"The Cowboy Joe Club fund drive is a long-standing tradition and staple of the Cowboy Joe Club's annual success. This success has been enabled by dedicated volunteers who not only give of their personal finances but also their time. As resources are more critical than ever, we look forward to working with current and new volunteers throughout the state and beyond to generate more engagement and philanthropy than ever before," said
Derek Gossler, Associate Athletics Director for Development and Revenue Generation.
The CJC Fund Drive is aimed at recruiting new members, and increasing the impact that current members have on our student-athletes by encouraging them to:
- Join the Cowboy Joe Club for the first time or rejoin the CJC after a period of not giving.
- For current members, encouraging them to consider increasing their impact by using the popular "110%" or "Cowboy Up!" giving options.
- Recruiting family and friends in spreading the mission of the Cowboy Joe Club.
- Providing referrals to the Cowboy Joe Club staff of individuals or businesses that may be interested in making an impact through the Cowboy Joe Club.
- Attending CJC events in their community and encouraging others to participate.
More than 4,000 donors supported the Cowboy Joe Club in 2024, allowing for record investment into the well-being of Wyoming student-athletes. From scholarship funding to team travel, mental health services, and improved nutrition, the Cowboy Joe Club is excited to further grow its influence on Cowboy and Cowgirl student-athletes in 2025.
