TUCSON, Ariz.  (March 18, 2025) – The Cowboy golfers moved up one spot on the final day of action at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Tucson Country Club in Tucson, Ariz. Wyoming finished seventh in the field that featured four teams ranked in the top-30 in the nation. Wyoming was +22 for the event and were nine-over as a team in the final round for the fourth lowest score of the day.

"Overall, it was a solid tournament with some very highly ranked teams in the field," UW head coach Joe Jensen said.  "We played well today in tough conditions, and we just keep better.  What I was pleased with is the solid final day and we can build of that into the rest of the season. We played hard and that tells me something going forward, I'm proud of the guys."

Wyoming was led on Tuesday by Brody Leid and Jaren Calkins at 73 (+1) for the final round. Leid finished in 14th place at +2 for the event. Calkins moved up to finish in 28th place and was +8 for the three rounds.

Kristof Panke carded a 75 (+3) for the final round and finished the event at +4 finishing 17th for a top-25 finish. Damon Vilkauskas added a 76 (+4) for the final round and moved up to finish the event in 50th place at +14. Patrick Azevedo was +11 for the event and carded a 79 (+9) on Tuesday finishing in 40th place. Davis Seybert played as an individual finishing 48th and was +16 or the event.

Arizona, the host for the event won with a three-round score of +3, as Arizona is ranked No. 25 in the nation. No. 29 Long Beach State finished the tournament second at +4 followed by tenth ranked Utah at +6. Utah's Brandon Robison won the event with a three-round total of -5. He went five-under par during the second round.

Wyoming returns to action next Monday and Tuesday at The Duck Invite in Eugene, Ore.
