LARAMIE, Wyo. & BOSTON (Dec. 6, 2025) – Wyoming track and field set six Top 10 program times and posted 10 personal bests, including seniors

Ryker Holtzen breaking the indoor 5,000-meter school record across the Power Meet and Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener, Saturday.
POWER MEET
Saturday's meet opened with the men's weight throw. Two Cowboys, sophomore
Charles LaFore and freshman
Ayden Mills, threw in the event while former Cowboy
Daniel Reynolds competed unattached. Lafore finished fifth with a toss of 65' 4" (19.91 meters), a personal best. In Mills' first collegiate outing, he placed 12th with a mark of 49' 5" (15.06 meters). Reynolds would win the event with a facility record of 83' 11 1/2" (25.59 meters), eight feet further than the facility record he set last season. Reynolds' throw was also the No. 4 mark in world history.
In the women's weight throw, senior
Kais Kimuli was the top Cowgirl finisher with her throw of 56' 3 3/4" (17.16 meters), a personal best. Freshman
Jade West finished right behind Kimuli in fifth with a toss of 55' 2 3/4" (16.83 meters). Senior
Kaitlyn Gallo would take seventh with her weight going a distance of 54' 3 3/4" (16.55 meters), a personal best and first over 16 meters.
Jumping events followed the weight throw, with Pokes competing in the high, long and triple jump. In the men's high jump, freshman
Quincy Paris finished third in his first collegiate meet with a height clearance of 6' 2" (1.88 meters). He reached that mark on his final attempt before failing to clear 6' 3 3/4".
The women's high jump had two Cowgirls competing with sophomores
Koi Adderley and
Lily Nichols. Adderley posted a personal best height of 5' 7 3/4" (1.72 meters), No. 6 in program indoor history, for second place while Nichols took sixth with a clearance of 4' 7 3/4" (1.42 meters).
Cowgirls swept the Top 3 places in the long jump with sophomore
Taliah Morris, senior
Elayna Chafee and Adderley going 1-2-3. Morris won with a jump of 20' 0 1/2" (6.11 meters) on her final attempt. This was good for the No. 5 mark in indoor school history and is the sixth-best jump in the country on the young season. Chafee took second after posting a mark of 19' 5 1/4" (5.92 meters) on her second attempt. For Adderley, she would also get her mark early, jumping a distance of 19' 0 3/4" (5.81 meters) on her first and only fair attempt.
Chafee would also take on the triple jump and came out on top. Her best jump was 39' 10 3/4" (12.16 meters), the new program indoor No. 4. All six of her attempts were over the 38-foot mark.
In the men's long jump, senior
Remar Pitter was the only Wyoming competitor. He would win the event by just a quarter of an inch at 24' 6 1/2" (7.48 meters). His mark set in his fourth attempt would have been No. 10 in program indoor history if Pitter didn't already hold the No. 2 mark.
Paris picked up his first collegiate victory in the triple jump when he leaped to a distance of 44' 11 1/2" (13.70 meters) on his third attempt.
Action on the track began with the 600-yard run. For the Cowgirls, junior
Isabelle Harvey finished second with a time of 1:31.43. In the men's 600 yards, freshman
Jackson Aydelott opened his career with a win at 1:13.20. Junior
Sam Castle would take third, just getting edged out by a CSU runner for a time of 1:14.25.
Two Cowgirls, freshman
Payton Becker and junior
Ava Morgan, made the 55-meter hurdles final with their qualifying times in the prelims. In that final, Becker would take third with a time of 8.30, improving from her prelims time of 8.38. Morgan finished in fourth with her time of 8.43.
In the prelims, sophomore
Avery Navest finished with a time of 8.77, a personal best, for eighth, Nichols took ninth at 9.07 and freshman
Desirae Iacovetto finished 11th after hitting the last hurdle with a time of 9.93.
In the women's 55-meter dash, another two Cowgirls raced to the finals. Sophomore
Taliah Morris entered with the top time at 7.03 while senior
Faith Jehu took fourth in the prelims with a time of 7.20, a personal best. In the finals, Morris would finish with a time of 7.08 for second and Jehu took fourth again at 7.24.
Five other Cowgirls raced in the 55 meters but did not advance to the finals. Sophomore
Megan Witkiewicz just missed the cut in seventh at 7.32 while Iacovetto took eighth at 7.32. Becker would run to 11th with a time of 7.44, sophomore
Melody ZumBrunnen finished 12th at 7.49 and Morgan took 14th with a time of 7.57.
In the men's 55 meters, sophomore
Logan Brown was the lone Cowboy to make the final, doing so by 0.007 of a second. Freshman
Ryan Elsen finished ninth in the prelims with a time of 6.44. In the finals, Brown would move to fourth with a personal-best time of 6.35.
Wyoming swept the 300-meter dash, starting with sophomore
Madeline Thorne winning with a time of 40.83. On the men's side, senior
Darius Wiggins took first at 35.66 while sophomore
Bridger Norton finished second with a time of 36.23.
Action on the track closed with the men's 4x400-meter relay. Wyoming's squad of junior
Cody Hape, Castle, Brown and Aydelott won with a time of 3:21.79.
The final events to finish at the meet were the men's and women's shot put. For the men, senior
Cam Burkett threw to second with his best mark landing at 60' 4 1/4" (18.39 meters) on his second attempt. LaFore would finish fifth with his best throw reaching 54' 7 1/4" (16.64 meters while sophomore
Quinn Lindsay saved his best throw for last with a toss of 52' 0 1/2" (15.86 meters) for eighth.
On the women's side, West finished as the Top Cowgirl in fourth with a put of 46' 11" (14.30 meters). The next three Cowgirls finished 6-7-8 with Kimuli throwing a distance of 45' 9" (13.94 meters), sophomore
Teagan Becker taking seventh at 43' 7" (13.28 meters), and Navest in eighth with her throw of 39' 9" (12.11 meters).
"Thought the team competed really well," said head coach
Bryan Berryhill. "They have been training great all fall, and this is their first opportunity to show what they have been building towards. Now the goal is to just get better each and every meet."
On the production from underclassmen, Berryhill said, "I thought our younger kids, our freshman and sophomore class, competed really well and were led by a great group of junior and seniors."
BU SEASON OPENER
Over in Boston, the Wyoming distance crew was busy breaking school records in the 5,000 meters. To start the evening, junior
Hailey Uhre took 98th out of 180 finishers with a time of 16:30.21, five seconds off her personal best. Junior
Eowyn Dalbec took 109th with her time of 16:38.22, just two seconds behind her best. Sophomore
Muriel Jones would finish with a time of 16:57.86 for 143rd, nearly a two-minute improvement, while sophomore
Brionna Holso took 149th at 17:02.65, a personal best. Two places away was senior
Marina Trave in 151st with her time of 17:04.70 while senior
Rozlyn Slichko closed out the Cowgirls' time in Boston with a time of 17:44.68 for 177th, a personal best.
On the men's side, seniors
Jacob White and
Ryker Holtzen would both run under the former indoor 5,000-meter school record. White finished in ninth with a time of 13:32.97, a school record, while Holtzen took 26th with a time of 13:38.73, the No. 2 time in school history. Senior
Mac Zastrow would finish in 106th with a time of 14:06.51 for No. 7 in program history while senior
Dylan van der Hock finished in 184th at 14:42.68.
