LARAMIE, Wyo. (Dec. 2, 2025) - The Mountain West Conference announced its 2025 All-Mountain West football teams on Tuesday and seven Wyoming Cowboys were honored. The team was selected in voting by the 12 Mountain West head coaches and media members covering the league.
Wyoming had two Second Team selections in offensive guard
Caden Barnett and linebacker
Brayden Johnson.
The Cowboys had five players named Honorable Mention All-Mountain West in cornerback
Tyrese Boss, linebacker
Evan Eller, defensive tackle
Ben Florentine, cornerback
Dainsus Miller and center
Jack Walsh.
Second Team Selections
Offensive Guard Caden Barnett
* He is the highest graded offensive guard in the MW this season
* Played in and started all 12 games this season.
* Helped two different players record 100-yard rushing games this season
* Recorded over 80 knock downs on the season for an average of over even per game
* Had an 80 percent grade at the offensive guard position
* Named to Pro Football Focus Team of the Week in Week 9
Linebacker Brayden Johnson
* Played in and started all 12 games this season
* Top ranked linebacker in the MW this season and Top-50 nationally
* Led the Cowboys with 81 tackles
* Had a defensive score this season coming against San Jose State on an interception that help the Cowboys earn a comeback win.
* Cowboys ranked fourth in the nation in redzone defense this season.
* Cowboys ranked 17th in the nation and fourth in the MW in passing yards allowed
* Had 5.5 tackles for loss with a sack
* Ranks 42th in the MW in total tackles
* Ranked 15th in conference in interceptions with two on the season
* Had three pass breakups on the season
* He recorded 10 or more tackle twice this season
* Recorded a season-high 13 tackles against Nevada

Cornerback Tyrese Boss
* Appeared in and started all 12 games at cornerback
* Ranked seventh on the team with 39 tackles
* Tied for team lead with five pass breakups
* Cowboys ranked near the top-30 nationally in scoring defense
* Cowboys ranked fourth in the nation in redzone defense this season.
* Cowboys ranked 17th in the nation and fourth in the MW in passing yards allowed
* Had 30 solo tackles on the season
* Had six tackles against Colorado State for a season-high
Linebacker Evan Eller
* Played in and started all 12 games
* Ranked as the sixth highest graded linebacker in the MW this season according to Pro Football Focus
* Second on the team with 73 total tackles
* Led the team with 51 solo tackles
* He ranks 17th in the conference in total tackles
* He finished the season with a team-high eight tackles for loss
* Had two sacks on the season
* Recorded a forced fumble and fumble recovery and an interception
* Had 10 or more tackles in a game twice including against top-15 Utah with 12 tackles

Defensive Tackle Ben Florentine

* Recorded nearly 60 knockdowns on the season for second on the team.

* Ranked in the top-third of centers in college football by Pro Football Focus
