LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 8, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowboys recorded eight threes in the second half on their way to a 92-82 win over Cal State Fullerton on Saturday evening in the Arena-Auditorium in Laramie. Wyoming ended the game with 12 threes and recorded a season-high 19 assists moving to 2-0 on the young season.

Sundance Wicks said. "So many good things that we did tonight and tip of the cap to Fullerton, as they came ready to play. We have to keep proving we will be a hard team to play against. They got us in transition, and their pace had us on our heels in the first half. But we won the Possession game by 10 and that's winning basketball."
Wyoming was led by Nasir "Naz" Meyer with 18 points with five rebounds and four assists. He also knocked down a trio of three pointers.
Damarion Dennis added 16 points for a career-high.
Khaden Bennett added 14 points for back-to-back games in double-figures along with Meyer and Dennis.
Leland Walker led all players with six assists and has 384 in his career.
The Pokes shot 45 percent from the field and 39 percent from behind the arc. UW held the Titans to 44 percent and under 40 percent in the second half. UW held CSUF to 19 percent from behind the arc and only three makes on the night. The Pokes also had a 42-40 advantage on the glass with 11 offensive boards.
The Titans held the Pokes scoreless for the first two and a half minutes taking a 5-0 lead. The Cowboys would tie the contest at 7-7 thanks to four points from Dennis. The Pokes made four-straight shots and built a 14-9 lead with under 14 minutes left in the first half.
In total the Pokes held the Titans scoreless for four minutes and built a 19-11 lead. The Pokes would push the lead to ten points at 28-18 with under eight minutes left in the opening frame, but the Titans would go on a 10-0 run to tie the contest with under six minutes left in the half.
Matija Belic added a triple and a pair of free throws from Meyer made it a five-point game right after the Fullerton run. Meyer later made it a 36-30 game with a triple off a nice dish from Dennis. An alley-oop slam from
Gavin Gores extended the lead to eight with under three minutes left in the opening stanza.
Wyoming went scoreless for nearly three minutes, as an 8-0 run by the Titans made it a 38-38 game at the half. The Pokes shot 39 percent from the field in the opening from with the Titans shooting 48 percent.
A three-pointer from Bennett early in the first half would give the Pokes a four-point lead, but the Titans tied the contest at 45-45 with 17 minutes remaining. The Titans would leverage the free throw line and take a 55-53 lead with under 14 minutes left.
The Pokes used a triple from Meyer and another slam this time from Magassa for a 58-55 lead. Wyoming would continue to hold Fullerton without a bucket for nearly four minutes for a 60-56 game. It became the Meyer show with a triple and a perfect behind the head pass to Magassa for a 65-58 lead with under 10 minutes left.
Meyer added a slick layup and found Dennis for a corner three for a 74-64 lead with under six and a half minutes left. The Pokes went on a drought, and the Titans made it a three-point contest at 76-73 with under three and a half minutes left, but
Adam Harakow added a triple for a 79-73 game.
The Titans made it a four-point contest at the line, but a triple by Dennis made It a 82-75 game with 1:25 remaining. The Pokes would seal the contest with eight second half threes to give Wyoming the 92-82 win.
The Titans were led by Jefferson De La Cruz Monegro with 21 points. Bryce Cofield added 21 points on the night with Joshua Ward leading all players with nine rebounds.
The Pokes return to action on Tuesday hosting Austin Peay in the Arena-Auditorium for a 6:30 p.m. start on the Mountain West Network.
