LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Nov. 25, 2025) – A pair of Wyoming Cowgirls were named to the All-Mountain West Volleyball Team Tuesday, announced by the league office. Sarah Holcomb and Paige Lauterwasser were both honored. It is the second consecutive season Lauterwasser was named to the All-MW Team. It is Holcomb's first honor on the squad after being an Honorable Mention section last season.
Holcomb, who led the Mountain West in league matches averaging 1.64 blocks per set, becomes the first student-athlete in conference history to lead the MW in blocks for three consecutive seasons. Holcomb also finished second in the conference in terms of hitting percentage, as she hit .383 for the season. Holcomb was second on the Cowgirls with 191 kills in league action, averaging 2.62 per set. Her 3.66 points per set led Wyoming. Holcomb had 11 matches with double figures kills and had five-plus blocks in 16-of-18 league contests.
Lauterwasser, who is one of the league's best passers and plays all six rotations, averaged 2.75 kills and 3.20 points per set during conference play. Lauterwasser averaged 3.36 digs per set in Mountain West play and also added 32 total blocks and 15 service aces. Lauterwasser tallied 11 double-doubles in league action and had 11 matches with 10-plus kills. She also had eight contests with 15-plus digs and had four contests with better than 15 points.
The duo and the rest of the Cowgirls open Mountain West Volleyball Championship play as the No. 3 seed in this week's tournament and will face sixth-seeded San Diego State at 5 p.m., Mountain Time Wednesday.
