Cowboys Face Front Range Foe Denver on Wednesday Evening

First Meeting since 2021

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 24, 2025) - The Wyoming Cowboys will face Front range foe Denver on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium. It will be the first meeting between the two schools since 2021, as the two teams have been playing for over 100 years.
 
Fans can watch, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network with Keith Kelley on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.

About The Teams
Wyoming heads into the contest with a 5-1 overall record after downing Norfolk State 75-67 on Sunday. The Cowboys are 10-0 in non-conference home games under Sundance Wicks. Wyoming is averaging 84.7 points per game for the season and allow 70.5 per night. The Pokes are holding opponents to 39.8 percent from the field, which ranks second in the MW. Wyoming is shooting 46 percent from the field and are hitting nine three per game. The Pokes are grabbing 43.8 rebounds per game to lead the conference.
 
Denver is 2-3 overall and will face Arizona, a top-five team on the road on Monday evening. The Pioneers have wins over Montana State and Colorado State this season. The Pioneers average 76 points per game and allow 81.2 per game. Denver is shooting 47.1 percent from the field, but opponents are shooting 49 percent. An excellent three-point shooting team, Denver hits 40 percent of their attempts this season.
 
About The Players
Wyoming is led by four players in double-figures for the season. Leland Walker leads the team with 12 points per game and adds 4.5 rebounds and has a team-high 26 assists. Damarion Dennis adds 11.2 points per game and is shooting 53.5 percent from the field. Khaden Bennett adds 10.2 points per night and is tied for the team lead with 5.5 rebounds per game. Nasir (Naz) Meyer adds 10.2 points off the bench this season.
 
Denver is led in scoring this season by Carson Johnson at 18.6 points per game. He has 11 three-pointers to rank second on the team and leads the Pioneers with 16 helpers. Jeremiah Burke adds 17 points per game and adds 4.6 rebounds. He has knocked down 13 threes so far this season. Logan Kinsey adds 13.8 points per night.
 
About The Series
The Cowboys and Pioneers will meet for the 160th time on Wednesday. Wyoming holds a 107-52 record against Denver and are 66-16 against the Pioneers in Laramie. UW took the last meeting 77-64 on Dec. 2, 2021.
