LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 20, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirls were able to rally back from two sets down Thursday night to complete the "reverse sweep" comeback over New Mexico in the penultimate match of the regular season. After losing the first two sets 25-22 each, the Cowgirls rallied to win 25-21, 25-18 and 15-12. Also on the evening, Skylar Erickson became the 10th member of the 1,000-Digs Club in program history.
After New Mexico controlled much of the first two sets Thursday, it was the Cowgirls' turn to control things in the third and fourth sets. From there however, the Lobos fought their way back, taking a 10-9 lead and looked to be in control.
After both teams traded the next couple of points, the Cowgirls were able to end things and complete the comeback with three consecutive points. Two kills via Paige Lauterwasser and a New Mexico attack error clinched things for UW. With the win, Wyoming secures the No. 3 seed at next week's Mountain West Volleyball Championships.
