COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Nov. 17, 2025) – For the second time this season, Sarah Holcomb has been named the Old Trapper Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week, announced Monday by the league office. Holcomb was also named the defensive player of the week September 29.

This is the fourth player of the week nod of Holcomb's career. This past week, Holcomb tallied 2.29 blocks per set and 17 overall in the Wyoming Cowgirls' 2-0 week to secure a place at the Mountain West Volleyball Championships. Holcomb, who tallied 11 blocks in the sweep at San Diego State, recorded her fourth double-digit block match of the season. As a team, UW and Holcomb held its opponents to just a .126 combined team hitting percentage.

Holcomb and the rest of the Cowgirls close out the regular season at home this week with a pair of matches beginning Thursday at 6:30 p.m., against New Mexico.
