Cowboys Close Homestand Against Portland on Saturday Evening

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Nov. 13, 2025) - The Wyoming Cowboys host the Portland Pilots on Saturday evening in a matchup of undefeated teams inside the Arena-Auditorium. The contest is slated for a 7 p.m. start in the first meeting between the schools in Laramie since 1981.
 
Fans can watch, listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Erick Pauley.

About The Teams
Wyoming moved to 3-0 on the season with a 79-65 win over Austin Peay on Tuesday. It is the best start for the Pokes since the 2021-22 season. The Cowboys average 90 points per game and allow 74 points per game. Wyoming is shooting 48 percent from the field with opponents shooting 40 percent. UW is shooting 38 percent from behind the arc and make nine per game. Opponents are shooting 25 percent from the three-point line. UW is grabbing 45 rebounds per game and are _9.7 per game on the glass.
 
The Pilots head into the contest with a 3-0 record on the season with wins over Williamette, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and UC Davis. Portland averages 90 points per game and allows 73.3. The Pilots are shooting 48 percent from the field and hold the opposition to 36 percent. Portland gets to the line at a high rate with 26 made free throws per game, as the Pilots shoot 73 percent from the free throw line.
 
About The Players
The Pokes are led in scoring by guard Damarion Dennis and Nasir (Naz) Meyer at 14.7 points per game. Dennis is shooting 62 percent from the field and added 20 points against Austin Peay. Meyer is shooting 46 percent from behind the arc this season. Uriyah Rojas adds 13 points per game and had 22 points including six threes against Austin Peay. He is 8-of-10 from behind the arc this season to rank in the top-five nationally this season. Khaden Bennett adds 12 points per game and five rebounds. He also is tied for second on the team with 10 helpers.
 
Portland is led in scoring by freshman Joel Foxwell at 17.7 points per game. He also adds 4.3 rebounds and six assists per game. Mikah Ballew adds 14.7 points per game and is shooting 47 percent from behind the arc. Cameron Williams adds 12.7 points per night and adds six rebounds.
 
About The Series
The Cowboys own a 2-1 lead in the series against Portland. The series dates back to Nov. 28, 1981. The Pilots won the last meeting coming in Portland on Dec. 1, 2023 taking the contest 81-70.
