LARAMIE, Wyoming (10/9/25) – The University of Wyoming soccer team couldn't find the back of the net Thursday at the Madrid Sports Complex. It resulted in a 1-0 loss to Air Force.
The Cowgirls fall to 6-4-4 overall and 1-2-2 (5 points) in Mountain West Conference play. The Falcons improve to 4-6-2 on the season and 2-2-0 (6 points) in league action.
The unfortunate final tally wasn't due to a lack of offensive opportunities. Wyoming out shot Air Force, 25-10, however only held a 5-3 edge in shots on target.
One of those three on frame for Air Force was off the foot of Kendall Rippley. She scored in the 49th minute off passes from Annika Jost and Chase Borntreger.
Erin Dahl led the Pokes in shots with four.
Alyssa Glover,
Maddie Burr and
Jennah Wanner each had three to their name while four other Cowgirls had a pair of shots.
Wyoming keeper,
Haley Bartel, made two saves. Air Force goalie, Trishelle Lopez, logged five saves in the shutout.
Wyoming closes out its homestand Sunday. The Pokes host Colorado College at 1 p.m. at the Madrid Sports Complex.
