PROVO, Utah (Oct. 7, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirls picked up a trio of singles wins and a doubles win to open ITA Mountain Region play Tuesday hosted by BYU. Serina Abriola led the way with a pair of three-set victories in singles and earned a doubles win.

Abriola, who was a warrior in back-to-back matches, opened the day with a third-set tiebreak win against Emma Petton of New Mexico State. Abriola won 6-3, 5-7 and 7-6 (10-8). To close the evening, Abriola rallied to defeat Utah's Kamea Medora, 5-7, 6-3 and 6-4. Abriola will now play in the Round of 16 of the qualifying bracket.

Silver Bijlsma picked up Wyoming's other singles win as she went 1-1 on the day. Bijlsma opened with a convincing 6-3, 6-3 win before dropping a three-setter in the second round.

In doubles, Abriola teamed up with Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia for a thrilling 8-7 (7-5) win.
