LARAMIE, Wyoming (10/7/25) – The University of Wyoming soccer team closes out its homestand this week. The Cowgirls host Air Force on Thursday at 3 p.m. before playing Colorado College on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both matches take place at the Madrid Sports Complex and will be broadcast by the Mountain West Sports Network.
The Pokes own a 6-3-4 overall record and a 1-1-2 (5 points) Mountain West Conference mark. The Falcons are 3-6-2 overall and 1-2-0 (3 points) in league while the Tigers – who are at Colorado State on Thursday – possess a 3-4-5 record and a 0-1-3 (3 points) conference record.
Wyoming is fresh off a 3-0 win over Nevada this past Sunday. It represented the most goals scored by the Cowgirls against a Division I foe this season, and head coach
Josh Purdum hopes it's a sign of things to come.
"We dominated on the stat sheet, but we also scored goals, and that's more fun to look back on and say, 'We are capable,'" Purdum said. "We always said we were capable, but we didn't have the proof. So, to be able to show that on film to the girls was good."
Alyssa Glover netted three of the four goals scored last week. She has nine scores on the season and two assists for 20 points. Her number of goals scored ranks first in the league and is two clear of second and 14th nationally.
Glover's dynamic, and the hope is that attention on her will open up space for others. That was the case Sunday, as
Kylee (Bliss) Quilici Quain got loose for her first-career goal during the second half.
Kiley Ballek is the most accomplished secondary scorer, as she boasts three goals on the season.
Raegan Richardson has the other score in 2025.
Goalkeeper,
Haley Bartel, hasn't needed much offense to earn not just results but wins. She's logged seven shutouts in having allowed only 10 goals with 40 saves for a GAA of 0.77, which ranks second in the conference.
Annika Jost paces the Falcons with four goals and one assist for nine points. Trishelle Lopez has received the majority of the starts in net, and she's turned away 38 shots with 16 goals allowed for a GAA of 1.78.
Wyoming leads the all-time series with Air Force, 14-12-4. The last two results have been draws with last year's contest ending, 1-1. Ballek scored in the 90th minute to earn Wyoming a point in that one.
Kendall Memoly and Finley Schoenbeck lead Colorado College with four goals apiece. Regan Wallace possesses 58 saves with 15 goals allowed for a GAA of 1.29.
The Tigers hold a 13-7-0 lead in the all-time series with Wyoming. Colorado College took last year's meeting, 2-1.
Following the match against Colorado College, Wyoming hits the road for three straight. The road trip begins at Grand Canyon on Oct. 16.
"Our goal is to take care of business at home and have momentum going into the back half of the season," Purdum said.
