SAN DIEGO, California (10/26/25) – The University of Wyoming soccer team fell on the road Sunday. San Diego State defeated the Cowgirls, 1-0, at the SDSU Sports Deck.
The loss drops the Pokes to 7-6-5 overall and 2-4-3 (9 points) in Mountain West Conference play. The win improves the Aztecs to 7-4-6 on the season and 3-2-4 (13 points) in league. Wyoming is now eliminated from conference tournament contention.
San Diego State tallied the contest's lone goal during the 29th minute. Mia Svendsen found the back of the net.
Wyoming held a 12-8 advantage in shots.

Kiley Ballek all had a pair of shots. Svendsen and Victoria Miller also had two shots to pace San Diego State.
Cowgirls' keeper, 
Haley Bartel, turned away one shot. Her counterpart, Kailey Carlen, made five saves to preserve the shutout.
The Pokes close out the regular season Thursday. They play host to rival Colorado State at 3 p.m. at the Madrid Sports Complex.
