GREEN RIVER, Wyo. (Oct. 24, 2025) – University of Wyoming swim and dive won 15 events as the Cowgirls won their dual against Utah, 172-128, and the Cowboys fell, 196-104, Friday, in Green River, Wyo.
COWGIRLS
The Cowgirls' day started strong when they won the 200-yard Medley Relay. The "A" squad of juniors
Tara Joyce,
Taylor Craft and
Sophie Nutter, anchored by freshman
Raiden Harris, finished with an improved time of 1:43.21.
Sophomore
Macey Hansen had herself another victorious day, winning both the 500- and 1,000-yard Freestyle. In the 500-yard, she touched the wall at 4:59.02 while in the 1,000-yard, she improved with a time of 10:22.59.
Joyce returned to the pool and won the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:51.58. She would also take first in the 100-yard Freestyle at 50.77, sweeping the Freestyle events she competed in.
Wyoming took the Top 4 places in the 200-yard Butterfly, led by Nutter. She finished with a time of 2:04.88. Nutter would also win the 100-yard Butterfly, touching the wall at 56.41, an improvement.
In the 3-meter dive, senior
Alicia Gonzalez won with a point total of 260.40, nearly 15 points ahead of the competition. She would also go on to win the 1-meter with 238.65 points.
Harris, while taking second in the 50-yard Freestyle, would win the 200-yard Backstroke with a time of 2:03.14.
The Cowgirls closed their dual, having already secured the win, in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay. The team of Harris, sophomore
Avery True, Nutter and Joyce would take first with a time of 3:26.38.
COWBOYS
The Cowboys won their first event in the 1,000-yard Freestyle. None other than the reigning MPSF Athlete of the Week, sophomore
Isaac Lee, won with a time of 9:39.82. Lee would also win the 500-yard Freestyle by just 0.07 seconds, in 4:36.83.
Lee would also post an improvement of 1:51.82 in the 200-yard Butterfly for second place.
Freshman
Jackson Kogler took second in the 100-yard Backstroke, missing out on first by 0.11 seconds. He would also finish second in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:52.23.
In another close race, freshman
Edward Rhoe took second in the 50-yard Freestyle, behind first by 0.01 seconds.
Wyoming saw its next win in the 1-meter dive when sophomore
Jonah Mann finished with 260.78 points.
Junior
Simon Casey had a big day in the pool. He won the 200-yard Backstroke in 1:48.94, an improvement of 2.05 seconds.
Cowboys closed the meet in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay in second. The "A" squad of Casey, sophomore
Luke O'Connor, Rhoe and Kogler improved on the season with a time of 3:02.69.

Wyoming will be back in Laramie on Halloween weekend when they host Colorado State in a Border War Dual on Friday and take on Northern Colorado and Colorado School of Mines, Saturday, at Laramie High School.
