LARAMIE, Wyoming (10/14/25) – The University of Wyoming soccer team has just one match this week. The Cowgirls travel to Pheonix, Arizona, for a matchup with Grand Canyon on Thursday at 8 p.m. at GCU Stadium.

With just four matches left on the schedule, every matchup carries a little extra weight. The Pokes are 7-4-4 overall and 2-2-2 (8 points) in Mountain West Conference play, while the Antelopes own an 8-6-0 overall record and a 3-3-0 (9 points) mark in league action.

The top six in the final standings advance to the conference tournament in Boise. Wyoming is seventh but just one point out of third where Grand Canyon currently resides.

"We still need to hunt for points, and we still need to get points on the road," head coach Josh Purdum said. "We have a bye (over the weekend), so we have no excuses about not giving everything we have on Thursday."

Alyssa Glover continued her scoring tear over the weekend with her league-leading 10th goal. She's moving up the all-time list, while also setting some single-season records, as well.

Glover is now sixth in school history with 18 career scores. She has 44 career points, which is ninth in program history, and her eight-career game-winning goals are good enough for third all-time. In single-season history, Glover's 10 goals rank her second, her 22 points are sixth and her six game-winning goals are the most ever in a single season by a Cowgirl.

Goalkeeper, Haley Bartel, is also moving up the record books. She turned in her 18th career clean sheet on Sunday – her eighth on the year – and that's the second most in school history. Bartel possesses 46 saves with 11 goals allowed for a GAA of 0.73, which ranks second-best in the Mountain West Conference.

Bartel's counterpart at Grand Canyon, Emma Knack, leads the conference in saves at 94. She's surrendered 19 scores and owns a GAA of 1.42.

The Antelopes have some balance on offense with three players at nine points. Reese Clem and Tatum Hofstetter each have four goals, while Ellie Johannes chips in three goals and a team-high three assists.

Thursday represents the first meeting between the two squads. Following the trip to Pheonix, Wyoming goes to New Mexico on Oct. 23.
