Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Bud Denega
LARAMIE, Wyoming (10/12/25) – The University of Wyoming soccer team understood the urgency that was required Sunday at the Madrid Sports Complex. The Cowgirls knew they needed three points in their last home match before a three-game road swing.

And they got it. The Pokes blanked Colorado College, 1-0, to improve to 7-4-4 on the season and 2-2-2 (8 points) in Mountain West Conference play, while the Tigers fell to 3-6-5 overall and 0-3-3 (3 points) in league action.

"Today was a grind," head coach Josh Purdum said. "It was a typical Sunday. It was a bit of a battle. We knew they were hunting for their first conference win. But we took advantage of seizing the momentum in the second half, which we didn't do in the second half of last game, so that's where I'm most proud of the team."

Alyssa Glover provided the game's lone goal. She cashed in on a penalty kick during the 49th minute.

It marked Glover's 10th score of the season and 18th of her career. That number tied her for seventh all-time in program history.

The PK was a result of an attacking combination from Maddie Burr and Jazi Barela. Burr played a ball into the box that Barela leaped for and was subsequently pushed, resulting in a foul.

Wyoming keeper, Haley Bartel, made it stand up with her eighth shutout, which was accomplished with five saves. It's Bartel's 18th career clean sheet and that ties her for second all-time in program history.

It was a fairly level game with the Tigers holding a slight 12-11 edge in shots. Glover had nearly half of Wyoming's with five, while Kiley Ballek added two.

Colorado College goalie, Regan Wallace, turned away four shots. Kendall Memoly enjoyed a team-high four shots.

As stated above, Wyoming takes to the road for the next three. The Cowgirls travel to Grand Canyon on Thursday for an 8 p.m. contest before enjoying an idle Sunday.
