LARAMIE, Wyo. (Sept. 21, 2024) – The Cowgirls return to the front range this week competing at the Colonel Wollenberg Ram Classic in Fort Collins, Colo. at Ptarmigan Country Club.
 
The event from Sept. 23 to Sept. 24 features two rounds on Monday with a final round on Tuesday. The tournament is set to tee off at 9 a.m. on both days.
 
The tournament features 11 teams this season with four teams from the Mountain West Conference including Colorado State, Nevada, San Diego State and the Cowgirls.
 
Wyoming capped the Leadership & Golf Invitational last week with a 16th-place finish after carding a three-round score of 930 (+66) with a 312 (+24) during Tuesday's final round on the rigorous course where Jordan Spieth won the 2015 men's U.S. Open.
 
The Cowgirls were led by senior Meghan Vogt, who finished the tournament in 61st place on the individual leaderboard at +14 (75-77-78). Wilde (76-78-77), also a senior, moved up three spots from Monday to finish 63rd at +15 for the event.
 
Cowgirl freshman Lucia Morelli, who is from nearby Mercer Island, Wash., moved up four spots Tuesday with a 77 to finish +17 (235).
