FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Four Cowgirls represented the Brown & Gold on day two of the 2024 NCAA West First Rounds Track and Field Championships from Arkansas on Thursday with freshman Salma Elbadra moving on for a chance to qualify for the National Championships in the 1500.
Elbadra has moved on to Saturday's final in the 1500M by running a 4:14.03. Elbadra qualified in third out of 24 runners that will take the track with their chance to earn a spot at the 2024 National Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Gabby Drube finishes her season with a 38th place finish in the 400M Hurdles. Drube posted a 1:00.29 in the event as she was one of the top 48 runners in the West region this season. Drube ends her year with the No. 3 time in school history.
Sadie McMullen got the day started for the Cowgirls in the Long Jump. McMullen went an 18-11.25 to wrap up her season in 43rd place.
In the final event of the evening, Eowyn Dalbec clocked in a time of 35:50.34 to finish in 38th place in the 10000M.

Ryker Holtzen and Albert Steiner will run tomorrow night as Holtzen will run the Steeplechase and the 5000 while Steiner will run the Steeplechase. The Steeplechase will run at 1:40 Mountain Time while the 5000 will take place at 4:10.
