Against Western Kentucky, Zehender came out on top 6-3, 6-2. Brink, meanwhile, won 6-2, 6-2 against the Flames and then followed that up with a 6-3 and 6-4 win against WKU in the nightcap. Against UIC, Jeselle Ante (No. 5) and Lucia Malinak (No. 6) also earned singles wins. Ante won 7-5, 6-2 while Malinak won 6-0 and 7-5. Nikol Dobrilova was the third singles win in the loss to Western Kentucky. Dobrilova won at No. 4, 6-3 and 6-4.
This week will be the fifth consecutive season the Cowgirls make the trip to Mississippi. South Alabama enters Wednesday's match at 5-2 overall. Both of USA's losses have come away from home in 2024. SELA, meanwhile, is 5-6 entering the week. The Lions are 1-0 in neutral-site matches this season.
