LARAMIE, Wyo. — The Wyoming Cowboys & Cowgirls split up for another weekend of outdoor track & field action this weekend as the majority will head to the Jack Christiansen Invite in Fort Collins, Colo., while a few distance runners will head to the Stanford Invitational in California.

The Cowboys and Cowgirls head to Fort Collins for the first of two meets hosted by Colorado State on the schedule for the 2024 season. The meet will kick off with the hammer throw on Friday before a full slate of action gets rolling on Saturday, beginning at 10am. Along with college teams from around the area the meet will feature high school teams as well.
Stanford Invitational
Head Cross Country Coach Scott Dahlberg will bring seven student athletes to run distance events at the Stanford Invitational this weekend. A full schedule of both meets can be found at GoWyo.com
Last Week
Cam Burkett was named the Mountain West Field Athlete of the Week for his winning performance in the Shot Put at the 2024 Spank Blazing Invite in Pueblo, Colo. Burkett threw the No. 5 all-time mark in the event in the first outdoor meet of the season.
