COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A select group of distance runners from the University of Wyoming Track & Field team ran at the Air Force Last Chance Meet hosted by the Air Force Academy on Friday in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls competed in the 800, the Mile and the 3000M.
800
Riley Frankel went 2:26.87 to take tenth in the 800 and Oscar Goll up next for the Pokes took 15th with a time of 2:10.71.
MILE
Rozlyn Slichko and Keely Wolf ran the mile for the Cowgirls. Slichko went 5:18.80 for a third place finish while Wolf ran a 5:24.17 to take sixth in the event.
3000M
Leah Christians led the way for the four Cowgirls that were in the 3000M. Christians ran an 11:02.78 followed by Nina Zraik, Mady Willis and Baylee Stafford. Zraik posted a 11:14.45, Willis ran an 11:29.37 and Stafford put in a time of 11:36.09. Cooper Brown on the men's side finished sixth with a time of 8:59.84
WHAT'S NEXT
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will prepare for the 2024 Mountain West Indoor Championships to be held in Albuquerque, N.M., Thursday through Saturday of next week.
