ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. & SEATTLE, Wash. — Day two of the split-squad action for the University of Wyoming Track & Field Teams at the Don Kirby Invite in New Mexico and the Husky Classic in Washington saw the Cowboys & Cowgirls with a full slate in Albuquerque and a lot of Pokes running the mile in Seattle.
Freshman Salma Elbadra went two seconds faster than her school record in the Mile to take sixth place in a good field at the 2024 Husky Classic at the University of Washington. Elbadra ran a 4:35.02 adding to her season-leading time in the Mountain West Conference.
Cameron Burkett went 58-2.5, just off his best mark of the seasons to take fifth in the Shot Put at the Don Kirby Invite. Kayla Stibley took sixth place in her section of the Pole Vault in New Mexico. Stibley went her indoor best 12-0.75 to wrap up the weekend.
