LARAMIE – Wyoming women's golf coach
Josey Stender and assistant
Blake Isakson announced two commitments on the first day of the 2025 regular signing period Wednesday.
Kiley Reisner of Simi Valley, Calif., and Ellie Barry of Fort Collins, Colo., will join the Cowgirls starting with the 2025-26 season.
"We are always excited about the energy of a new recruiting class this year especially with the quality time we have had recruiting them," Stender said. "Both Kiley and Ellie will enhance our program culture, not only in the classroom and on the golf course, but they are both fantastic individuals from great families."
While competing for Simi Valley High, Reisner was the Coastal Canyon League champion and a nine-time match medalist in 2024. She won the FCG National Tour Fall Series Championship at Temecula Creek, Calif., and the FCG Washington Championship at Chambers Bay and was the runner-up at the National Tour Las Vegas Junior FCG at Las Vegas Golf Club. Her scoring average in tournaments is 72.1.
"Kiley has a tremendous competitive spirit and tournament resume," Stender said. "She is confident, disciplined, and with her strength she compresses the ball well which will help with her transition to college golf."
Reisner, ranked 148th nationally in the recruiting class, was also recruited by a list of schools including Colorado, Colorado State, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Oklahoma, Oregon State San Jose State, Southern Miss and Texas Tech. Her older sister,
Kira Reisner, is a sophomore on the current Cowgirls team.
"I chose the University of Wyoming because it has everything I was looking for," Reisner said. "The coaches are incredible, and the atmosphere of the golf team is perfectly competitive and supportive which will help me strive for excellence. Academically, the University offers everything I could need and more, the facilities for academics and athletics are top of the line and have everything required for me to improve myself on and off the golf course."
Barry is a two-time all-state first team selection and helped lead Fossil Ridge High School to a state runner-up finish in the Class 5A Colorado Championships in 2024. She was a medalist at the 2023 Colorado PGA Junior Cup Series at Coal Creek and had two top 10 finishes at the CGS State Junior Championships in 2023-24.
"Ellie is very determined and focused, both of which have been evident in the great strides she has made in the last year to be one of the top players to come out of the region," Stender said.
Barry, the No. 550 national recruit in her class who has family ties to Wyoming, was also recruited by Bowling Green and South Dakota State. Her twin brother, Austin Barry, is part of the UW men's 2025 recruiting class.
"I come from a multi-generational family of Wyoming cattle ranchers," Barry said. "My grandfather is an alum of the University of Wyoming and also a member of the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame. My family has a home in Saratoga, Wyoming, where I love to fly fish and golf.
"I instantly had a connection with Coach Stender and Coach Isakson when I first met them. I knew the University of Wyoming would be the best place to extend my academic and athletic career."
