NEW ORLEANS (October 8, 2024) – The University of Wyoming men's cross country program received votes in week three of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday.

After finishing fourth at the Joe Piane Invitational and defeating the then No. 30 Michigan State, the Cowboys received 10 votes, just nine away from the Top 30 rankings. This is the first time receiving votes since the week five National Coaches' Poll released in 2020. That season, the men received votes in five of the eight rankings in what was a covid-delayed year.

Other Mountain West teams with votes were New Mexico in eighth (248), Air Force in 28th (25) and Utah State in 30th (19).

Full rankings can be found here.

Cowboys will be back in action at Pre Nationals in Madison, Wis., on October 19.
