COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Cam Burkett took first with a new personal best Shot Put on day two of the Ralph Linderman Classic at the Air Force Academy on Saturday. 

Burkett took down the field to win the event with a toss of 58-3.25. A new personal best for the Cowboy from Casper, Wyo., to move up the Wyoming record books in a tie for eighth on the list. Burkett sits at No. Four this season in the Mountain West after today's performance. 

A light day in Colorado Springs, Colo., for the Pokes, Gage Griffith took fifth in the Shot Put. Jefferson Danso and Kaliff Guevara went four-five in the Triple Jump, Elayna Chafee went fifth on the women's side of the event and Joan Easter finished in eighth at the High Jump.
