LARAMIE, Wyo. — The University of Wyoming Track & Field Team will get things started in 2024 with the Potts Invite hosted by CU in Boulder on Saturday as the Cowboys and Cowgirls sprint and distance squads will be on the track. 

The distance runners got things started first this indoor season with a race in Boston, Mass., in the first weekend of December. The sprinters competed at the home Power Meet on December 8th. Both will look to get back to the first competition in a month that kicks off the indoor stretch for Wyoming. 

One of the headlines of the Power Meet was a new Hager-LeBar Indoor Track & Field venue at War Memorial Fieldhouse record in which the Cowgirls 4x400 Relay team of Gabby Drube, Paige Sefried, Jenae Ramirez and Taylor Weidinger ran a 3:52.72 to kick start the season. 

Races will get started in Boulder at 11 am on Saturday with the 60M Hurdles Prelims and wrap up with the Women's 4x400 Relay. The Pokes will be joined at Colorado by teams from Air Force, Colorado, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State and Texas A&M Commerce.

Spectators will be charged $8 on Saturday for admission to the meet.
