LARAMIE, Wyo. (9/18/23) – Alyssa Glover has been on an early-season offensive tear for the University of Wyoming soccer team. And she was honored, yet again, as the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Glover – who has now won the award twice in 2023 and three times in her career – and the Cowgirls played only one game this past week. It was a 2-1 victory at North Dakota, and Glover accounted for both Wyoming scores.
It was the first time this season that a Cowgirl scored twice in a single game. It gives Glover five goals for the season, which ranks second in the league.
Wyoming opens MW play this week at home against the Nevada schools. The Cowgirls host UNLV on Thursday at 4 p.m. before battling Nevada on Sunday at 1 p.m.
